Brush Cutter Questions

Quick answers about engine, blades, harness and maintenance for our 2-stroke and 4-stroke brush cutters.

Side Pack vs Back Pack - which one should I pick?

The Side Pack uses a bike-type handle and a 28 mm straight pipe - great for paddy bunds, open fields and long working hours. The Back Pack model uses a D-type handle on a 26 mm flexible shaft - lighter on the shoulder and easier to manoeuvre between trees, hedges and uneven terrain.

2-stroke or 4-stroke engine - what's the difference?

The 35.8 cc 2-stroke (1.5 HP) is lightweight and runs on a petrol + 2T oil mix - ideal for grass and light weeds. The 52 cc 4-stroke (2.4 HP) runs on plain petrol with separate engine oil, gives more torque and is better for thick weeds, woody bushes and full-day commercial use.

What attachments and blades are included?

Each brush cutter ships with a 3-tooth metal blade, a nylon trimmer head, shoulder harness, safety guard, fuel mixing bottle and a complete tool kit. Optional 8-tooth blades and 40T saw blades are available for thicker wood and bamboo.

What can I cut with this machine?

Use it for grass, paddy, wheat, soybean, mustard, weeds, hedges, small bushes and lawn trimming. With a saw blade attachment you can also cut thin bamboo and small woody stems up to 25 mm.

How much fuel does the brush cutter use per hour?

The 900 ml fuel tank typically lasts 60-90 minutes of continuous cutting. For 2-stroke models, mix petrol and 2T oil at the ratio printed on the engine cap (commonly 25:1 to 50:1). Always use clean, fresh fuel.

How do I service and store the brush cutter off-season?

Drain the fuel tank, clean the air filter, grease the gearbox and store the unit in a dry place. Run the engine dry once before long storage to prevent carb gumming. Spare blades, spark plugs, air filters and gearbox grease are available on call.
