Water Pump Questions

Quick answers about HP, lift, fuel and applications for our gasoline-powered water pumps.

What is the maximum suction and delivery lift?

The AN-2.5/3.0 self-primes from up to 7 metres and pushes water as high as 22-26 metres of total head. Real-world delivery depends on pipe size, friction loss and the height/distance combination.

How much water can it pump per hour?

The 2-inch model moves about 30 m³/hour and the 3-inch unit pushes up to 60 m³/hour - enough to fill a 5,000 litre overhead tank in around 5-10 minutes under typical conditions.

What fuel does the pump run on?

All Anmol gasoline pumps run on regular unleaded petrol. The 6.5 HP / 7.5 HP 4-stroke OHV engines have a 3.6-4.0 L tank that gives 2-3 hours of continuous running on a full fill.

What is the difference between AAN-165 (6.5 HP) and AAN-175 (7.5 HP)?

Both share the same compact frame and 4-stroke OHV design. AAN-165 (6.5 HP) is suited to small-to-medium farms with shorter pipe runs. AAN-175 (7.5 HP) gives higher torque (12.7 vs 9.8 N·m) - better for long pipelines, sprinkler sets and steep delivery.

Can I use this pump for irrigation, drip and sprinkler?

Yes. These pumps are designed for flood irrigation, drip and sprinkler systems, transferring water between tanks, dewatering low-lying fields and emergency pumping. Match the pump size to your pipe and head requirement for best efficiency.

How do I start the pump and prime it for the first time?

Add engine oil (0.6 L) and petrol, fill the pump casing fully with clean water through the priming port, then pull the recoil starter. The pump will self-prime within 30-60 seconds. We provide a free video demo on WhatsApp - call +91 99130 04583 after purchase.
